Cagrilintide reconstitution calculator
Concentration, draw volume and U-100 units for 5 and 10 mg cagrilintide vials.
Cagrilintide is a long-acting analogue of amylin, a hormone released alongside insulin. It is an investigational drug that has been studied in clinical trials on its own and in combination with semaglutide. Research-labelled vials are usually 5 or 10 mg, and the amounts reported in trial and community sources run from 250 mcg to 2.4 mg, a nearly tenfold spread.
The calculator converts a vial size, a water volume and an amount in mcg or mg into the concentration, the volume in mL and the U-100 reading, with the number of amounts per vial. The chart further down lists the common vial and water combinations.

Results are arithmetic from the three numbers entered. U-100 scale: 100 units = 1 mL. Presets are figures reported in published and community sources, offered as shortcuts, not recommendations. The vial label is the number to trust.
Setups entered by researchers
Not enough Cagrilintide calculations have been logged yet to publish a breakdown. A peptide's setups appear here once it passes 100 calculations and a setup has been entered at least 30 times. How the setup data works.

How the Cagrilintide numbers are worked out
Concentration is the vial mass divided by the water added: 5 mg in 2 mL is 2.50 mg/mL, 10 mg in 2 mL is 5.00 mg/mL.
The volume for an amount is the amount divided by the concentration. On a U-100 syringe 1 mL is 100 units, so 250 mcg from a 5 mg vial at 2 mL is 10 units (0.1 mL), and 2.4 mg from a 10 mg vial at 2 mL is 48 units (0.48 mL).
Because the reported amounts span such a wide range, one water volume rarely suits both ends: small amounts are hard to read at high concentrations, and large amounts can pass a small syringe's capacity at low ones. The calculator flags the second case.

Cagrilintide calculator questions
How many units is 250 mcg of cagrilintide from a 5 mg vial?
With 2 mL of water the vial is 2.50 mg/mL, so 250 mcg is 10 units (0.1 mL). With 1 mL it is 5 units (0.05 mL). The vial holds 20 amounts of 250 mcg.
How many units is 500 mcg from a 10 mg cagrilintide vial?
With 2 mL, 10 units (0.1 mL). With 3 mL, 15 units (0.15 mL). From a 5 mg vial with 2 mL it is 20 units (0.2 mL).
How many units is 2.4 mg of cagrilintide?
From a 10 mg vial with 2 mL, 48 units (0.48 mL). With 3 mL, 72 units (0.72 mL). From a 5 mg vial with 2 mL it is 96 units (0.96 mL), close to the limit of a 1 mL syringe. A 10 mg vial holds 4.2 amounts of 2.4 mg.
Does the amount of water change how much cagrilintide is in the vial?
No. The water only sets the concentration. The vial holds the same total mass whatever volume is added; more water means each mg takes up more volume and more units.
Can a premixed retatrutide and cagrilintide vial be calculated here?
Not as a blend. A premixed vial holds two compounds at a fixed ratio, so its concentration is the combined mass divided by the water, and each compound is the drawn amount times its share of that mass. The general calculator on the home page handles the total; the label gives the split.
What amounts do published and community sources report?
Clinical trials have used once-weekly amounts that were stepped up over several weeks, and phase 3 trials used 2.4 mg as the maintenance amount. Community sources describe smaller amounts, often 250 to 500 mcg. The presets are drawn from both; they are not a recommendation, and none of them is presented here as a standard dose.
