DSIP reconstitution calculator
Concentration, draw volume and U-100 units for 2, 5 and 10 mg DSIP vials.
DSIP, short for delta sleep-inducing peptide, is a nine-amino-acid peptide first isolated in 1977 from the blood of rabbits kept in an induced sleep state. The name records that experiment rather than an established clinical effect. Research-labelled vials are 2, 5 or 10 mg, and community-reported amounts run from about 100 to 500 mcg.
The calculator converts a vial size, a water volume and an amount into the concentration, the volume in mL, the U-100 reading and the number of amounts per vial. The chart below lists the same figures for the common combinations.

Results are arithmetic from the three numbers entered. U-100 scale: 100 units = 1 mL. Presets are figures reported in published and community sources, offered as shortcuts, not recommendations. The vial label is the number to trust.
Setups entered by researchers
Not enough DSIP calculations have been logged yet to publish a breakdown. A peptide's setups appear here once it passes 100 calculations and a setup has been entered at least 30 times. How the setup data works.

How the DSIP numbers are worked out
Concentration is the vial mass divided by the water: 5 mg in 2 mL is 2,500 mcg/mL, and 2 mg in 2 mL is 1,000 mcg/mL.
Volume is the amount divided by the concentration; a U-100 syringe reads 100 units per mL. 250 mcg from a 5 mg vial at 2 mL is 10 units (0.1 mL).
Smaller vials with the same water are less concentrated, so the same amount reads higher and the vial holds fewer amounts.
Research background and vendor comparisons for DSIP are covered in a DSIP research overview.
DSIP calculator questions
How many units is 250 mcg of DSIP from a 5 mg vial?
With 2 mL of water the vial is 2,500 mcg/mL, so 250 mcg is 10 units (0.1 mL). With 1 mL it is 5 units (0.05 mL). The vial holds 20 amounts of 250 mcg.
How many units is 100 mcg of DSIP?
From a 5 mg vial with 2 mL, 4 units (0.04 mL). From a 2 mg vial with 1 mL, 5 units (0.05 mL); with 2 mL, 10 units (0.1 mL).
How many amounts does a DSIP vial hold?
A 2 mg vial holds 8 amounts of 250 mcg, a 5 mg vial 20 and a 10 mg vial 40. At 500 mcg a 10 mg vial holds 20. The water does not change the count.
How is a 10 mg DSIP vial calculated?
The same way as any other size. 10 mg with 2 mL is 5,000 mcg/mL, so 250 mcg is 5 units (0.05 mL); with 5 mL it is 12.5 units (0.125 mL).
Is DSIP an established sleep treatment?
No. Human studies since its discovery have been small, with mixed results, and DSIP is not approved for any medical use. This page covers only the vial arithmetic.
What DSIP amounts do community sources report?
Community sources describe amounts from about 100 to 500 mcg, with 250 mcg appearing most often. The presets reflect those reports to save typing; they are not a recommendation.
