MOTS-c vial calculator
Concentration, volume and U-100 units for MOTS-c vials of 5 to 40 mg.
MOTS-c is a 16-amino-acid peptide encoded in mitochondrial DNA. Compared with most research peptides, the amounts reported for it in community sources are large, often a milligram or more, so the syringe reading depends heavily on how much water goes into the vial. A 5 mg amount from a 10 mg vial with 2 mL is a full 1 mL syringe.
The calculator returns the concentration, the volume in mL, the U-100 reading and how many amounts the vial holds, and it flags any amount that would not fit in the syringe size selected.

Results are arithmetic from the three numbers entered. U-100 scale: 100 units = 1 mL. Presets are figures reported in published and community sources, offered as shortcuts, not recommendations. The vial label is the number to trust.
Setups entered by researchers
Not enough MOTS-c calculations have been logged yet to publish a breakdown. A peptide's setups appear here once it passes 100 calculations and a setup has been entered at least 30 times. How the setup data works.

How the MOTS-c numbers are worked out
Concentration is the vial mass divided by the water: 10 mg in 2 mL is 5.00 mg/mL, and 10 mg in 1 mL is 10.00 mg/mL.
Volume is the amount divided by the concentration, and a U-100 syringe reads 100 units per mL. 1 mg from a 10 mg vial at 2 mL is 20 units (0.2 mL); 5 mg at the same concentration is 100 units (1 mL).
Because MOTS-c amounts are in milligrams, less water keeps readings inside a single syringe. The trade-off is that small amounts become harder to read at high concentrations.
Background on the peptide itself, research summaries and vendor comparisons are covered in a MOTS-c research overview.
MOTS-c calculator questions
How many units is 1 mg of MOTS-c from a 10 mg vial?
With 2 mL of water the vial is 5.00 mg/mL, so 1 mg is 20 units (0.2 mL). With 1 mL it is 10 units (0.1 mL).
How many units is 5 mg of MOTS-c?
From a 10 mg vial with 1 mL, 5 mg is 50 units (0.5 mL). From a 40 mg vial with 2 mL, it is 25 units (0.25 mL). With 2 mL in a 10 mg vial it is 100 units (1 mL), the full capacity of a 1 mL syringe.
How many amounts does a MOTS-c vial hold?
Divide the vial mass by the amount. A 10 mg vial holds 10 amounts of 1 mg or 2 of 5 mg; a 40 mg vial holds 8 of 5 mg. The water volume does not change this.
Why do some MOTS-c readings exceed 100 units?
Milligram-scale amounts at low concentrations take up more than 1 mL. No syringe reading can fix that; only a higher concentration (less water) or a larger vial size changes the volume per mg.
What MOTS-c amounts do community sources report?
Community sources describe amounts from around 0.5 mg up to 5 mg or more, often on schedules with breaks. Published human data are limited. The presets reflect those community-reported figures and are not a recommendation.
