IGF-1 LR3 vial calculator
Concentration, draw volume and U-100 units for 100 mcg and 1 mg IGF-1 LR3 vials.
IGF-1 LR3 is a modified form of insulin-like growth factor 1: 83 amino acids long, with an arginine in place of glutamic acid at position 3 and a 13-amino-acid extension at the start of the chain. Vials are small by peptide standards, commonly 100 mcg (0.1 mg) or 1 mg, and the amounts described in community sources are in tens of micrograms, so this page works mostly in mcg.
The calculator returns the concentration, the volume in mL, the U-100 reading and the number of amounts per vial. The liquid used does not change the arithmetic: community sources describe both bacteriostatic water and dilute acetic acid, and either way the concentration is the vial mass divided by the volume added.

Results are arithmetic from the three numbers entered. U-100 scale: 100 units = 1 mL. Presets are figures reported in published and community sources, offered as shortcuts, not recommendations. The vial label is the number to trust.
Setups entered by researchers
Not enough IGF-1 LR3 calculations have been logged yet to publish a breakdown. A peptide's setups appear here once it passes 100 calculations and a setup has been entered at least 30 times. How the setup data works.

How the IGF-1 LR3 numbers are worked out
Concentration is the vial mass divided by the volume added: 1 mg in 1 mL is 1,000 mcg/mL, and 100 mcg in 1 mL is 100 mcg/mL.
Volume is the amount divided by the concentration; a U-100 syringe reads 100 units per mL. 50 mcg from a 1 mg vial at 1 mL is 5 units (0.05 mL); from a 100 mcg vial at 1 mL it is 50 units (0.5 mL).
A tenfold difference in vial mass is a tenfold difference in reading at the same volume, so the vial size on the label is the first number to check.

IGF-1 LR3 calculator questions
How many units is 50 mcg of IGF-1 LR3 from a 1 mg vial?
With 1 mL the vial is 1,000 mcg/mL, so 50 mcg is 5 units (0.05 mL). With 2 mL it is 10 units (0.1 mL). The vial holds 20 amounts of 50 mcg.
How many units is 50 mcg from a 100 mcg vial?
With 1 mL the vial is 100 mcg/mL, so 50 mcg is 50 units (0.5 mL). With 2 mL it is 100 units (1 mL), a full 1 mL syringe. A 100 mcg vial holds only 2 amounts of 50 mcg.
Why is the reading so small with a 1 mg vial?
At 1,000 mcg/mL, 20 mcg is 2 units (0.02 mL). More liquid lowers the concentration: with 5 mL, 20 mcg is 10 units (0.1 mL), which is easier to read on the scale.
Does using acetic acid instead of bacteriostatic water change the math?
No. The calculation uses only the vial mass, the volume of liquid added and the amount. The choice of liquid is a separate question about the product, not about the arithmetic.
Is 0.1 mg the same as 100 mcg?
Yes. 1 mg is 1,000 mcg, so a vial labelled 0.1 mg holds 100 mcg. The calculator accepts amounts in either unit and converts them internally.
What IGF-1 LR3 amounts do community sources report?
Community sources describe amounts from about 20 to 100 mcg, often in short runs. Published research on IGF-1 LR3 is mostly cell-culture and animal work. The presets (20, 50 and 100 mcg) reflect those community reports and are not a recommendation.
