PT-141 (bremelanotide) vial calculator
Concentration, draw volume and U-100 units for 5 and 10 mg PT-141 vials.
PT-141, also called bremelanotide, is a cyclic peptide that acts on melanocortin receptors in the central nervous system. Research-labelled vials are usually 10 mg, with 5 mg also sold, and the amounts that appear in published and community sources run from 500 mcg to 1.75 mg.
The calculator converts the vial size, water volume and amount into the concentration, the volume in mL and the U-100 reading, and shows how many amounts the vial holds. The chart lists the same figures for the common vial and water combinations.

Results are arithmetic from the three numbers entered. U-100 scale: 100 units = 1 mL. Presets are figures reported in published and community sources, offered as shortcuts, not recommendations. The vial label is the number to trust.
Setups entered by researchers
Not enough PT-141 calculations have been logged yet to publish a breakdown. A peptide's setups appear here once it passes 100 calculations and a setup has been entered at least 30 times. How the setup data works.

How the PT-141 numbers are worked out
Concentration is vial mass divided by water: 10 mg in 2 mL is 5.00 mg/mL; 5 mg in 2 mL is 2.50 mg/mL.
Volume is the amount divided by the concentration; a U-100 syringe reads 100 units per mL. 1 mg from a 10 mg vial at 2 mL is 20 units (0.2 mL).
Doubling the amount doubles the reading at the same concentration. A 5 mg vial with the same water as a 10 mg vial is half as concentrated, so every reading doubles.

PT-141 calculator questions
How many units is 500 mcg of PT-141 from a 10 mg vial?
With 2 mL of water, 10 units (0.1 mL). With 3 mL, 15 units (0.15 mL). The vial holds 20 amounts of 500 mcg.
How many units is 1 mg of PT-141?
From a 10 mg vial with 2 mL, 20 units (0.2 mL). From a 5 mg vial with 2 mL, 40 units (0.4 mL). From a 10 mg vial with 1 mL, 10 units (0.1 mL).
How many units is 1.75 mg of PT-141?
From a 10 mg vial with 2 mL, 35 units (0.35 mL). From a 5 mg vial with 2 mL, 70 units (0.7 mL). 1.75 mg is the amount in a single dose of the approved prescription product; research vials are a different product.
Is research-labelled PT-141 the same as the prescription product?
The active ingredient has the same name, but research-labelled vials are not the approved product and have not been through its manufacturing and quality review. The arithmetic here applies only to the mass printed on the vial label.
How is PT-141 related to Melanotan II?
Bremelanotide is derived from Melanotan II and acts on some of the same receptors, but the two are different compounds sold under different labels, with different reported amounts. Melanotan II has its own calculator on this site.
What amounts do published and community sources report?
Community sources describe amounts of about 500 mcg to 1 mg, and 1.75 mg is the figure from the prescription product. All three appear as presets to save typing, not as a recommendation, and none of them is presented here as a standard dose.
